Thanksgiving provides you the chance to reflect on life.  It doesn't help that you know with Thanksgiving that you'll be shoveling food hand over fist.  Take Thanksgiving as an opportunity to be thankful and reassess your healthy and lifestyle choices.

There are countless ways to be ever-so-slightly healthier.


As we all know the obvious ways to undertake a healthier lifestyle, like the bullet points above, many of us overlook one of the easiest ways to be healthier and happier in life; optimistic thoughts and emotions.

There is a science behind the claim that one’s disposition and emotional state have direct and measurable impacts toward one’s health.  With a peaceful mindset, detrimental effects of stress towards one’s body are greatly reduced.

Furthermore, it has been well documented in many research studies that positive thinking lowers the rates of depression. It has also been reported that a positive outlook on life can support resistance to the common cold, reduces the risk of death from cardiovascular diseases, and improves the effectiveness of the immune system.
 
With all the challenges and troubles that life can throw at you, among the better ways for you to sustain positivity is to thrive in a supportive and secure environment surrounded by loved ones. With the company of your loved ones, you can free yourself from your work preoccupations and other worries. Also, when you are with people that you are emotionally attached to you can express yourself honestly and relieve the day's emotional build ups.

A large part of being satisfied in life is via good health.  On the other end, we acquire good health by being happy in life.  See the cycle?  It is never too early to start being healthy by being positive. What are you thankful for?
