Each third Sunday of June brings us an opportunity to thank the man who made us what we are today. Whether you look up to your dad, or you are the figure that your own children look up to, being a healthy dad is the best kind of dad to be.
Dads that live a healthy lifestyle not only live longer to be supportive in the family, but healthy dads set a good example for their children to grow from.
Families that exercise together grow together, physically and mentally. Dads have a great opportunity to be active and involved with their family in the simplest of ways. Trips to the park or hikes up the canyon are great exercises and equally great bonding experiences.
Healthy dads and family relationships are not only based around physical activity. Strong relationships include mental and emotional growth, too. Genuine conversations between fathers and their kids should be practiced.
As you think of what to get dad, or as kids of your own ask what you want, all that is needed in life is quality time with those that you love. To all the dads out there, make sure to stay fit and healthy to be around for a long time and squeeze out every last drop of quality family time in life. Happy Father's Day.
